It also mentions Plastic Cement, which "is of the same composition as Battleship Asbestos Roof Coating."

This manual says that the U.S. government bought Battleship Liquid Asbestos Roof Coating (it instructs salesmen to "let prospect see U.S. purchase orders"). It also says that the Farm trade is "one of our biggest for battleship sales." There are also instructions on how to sell it for cities and to schools. 

Very interesting and scarce manual showing the use of asbestos by the roofing industry during the early 1950s!
