- Asbestos is one of the binders listed for Gypsum Block (also called Gypsum masonry units, gypsum partition tile, or plaster block)
- Asbestos-Cement Boards... available in many finishes and colors.
- Foamed-in-Place Insulation: "Plastics can be foamed in place between skins of paper, hardboard, asbestos-cement board, or metal to form sandwich panels."
- Asbestos Roofing Felts
- Asbestos-Cement Shingles
- Asbestos fiber may be used in the manufacture of acoustical boards.
- Sound Vibration Isolation. "Antivibration pads of lead and asbestos have been used for 60 years in building foundations to reduce transmission of vibration from the ground into the structure, especially where railroad tracks, subways, or heavy street traffic might be a source of troublesome vibration." ..... "Top and bottom layers of sheet lead are burned together compressing a pad of asbestos to 200 psi to form a watertight envelope around the inner pad of asbestos."
