- Section on Troubleshooting Hydraulic Systems mentions asbestos packing:
"On some modern hydraulic speed gears, the SHAFT STUFFING BOX PACKING is of the square-braided pure asbestos type."

- Same section has several paragraphs on Piping and Fittings.  The use of copper asbestos packing is mentioned to solve the problem of leaking.
