Condition: Fair.  No dustjacket.  Binding and edges have been taped over with green tape. Title handwritten on spine. Unfortunately, there is a stain visible to many of the pages, although the stain diminishes in size as the page number increases. Some marks to book edges and pages. Ex-library book with typical stickers, stamps, card pocket, etc.

References of Asbestos Use:
- Section on "Analysis of Sulphur-Burner Gas," describes the use of a tube filled with shredded asbestos.
- The packing rings on a "Sliding-plug type of blow valve made by Yarnall-Waring Co" are made out of laminated asbestos and stainless steel. (This is in the section on "Stationary Vertical Digesters")
 - Section on Electrolysis shows the use of an asbestos-paper diaphragm
