Advertisements that mention asbestos include those for Westinghouse Micarta, Panelyte (St Regis Paper Company), National Vulcanized Fibre Co, and American Cyanamid Company.

- Article entitled "Melamine Formaldehyde" by Winslow A Ward, from American Cyanamid Co, includes a table which lists asbestos as a filler and its uses include aircraft ignition, condensers.

- Article entitled "Cold-Molded Organic Plastics" includes several references to asbestos use. It says, "Asbestos is a common filler for all types and the high heat resistance characteristic of these materials is due to the high percentage of asbestos in the formula." Also this article mentions that phenolic resin is mixed with asbestos fiber.

-  Advertisement for the American Cyanamid Company states that Melmac 405 Laminating Resin contains asbestos.

- An article entitled "Phenolics," revised by J.C. Searer and L.A. Sontag, Durez Plastics and Chemicals, Inc., has a paragraph about a phenolic resin-asbestos composition from by Haveg Corp.

- Article on Laminates by George H. Clark, vice president in charge of Engineering, The Formica Co., discusses asbestos base grades.

- Article on Silicones by T. A. Kauppi,  manager of product engineering for Dow Corning Corp, mentions asbestos.

- Article "Vinyl Polymers and Copolymers" by M. C. Reed of Development Laboratories, Bakelite Company, has an illustration of an industrial plant that shows the vinyl-asbestos tile installed.

- Asbestos filler is discussed in the article, "Fillers for Molding Compounds" written by Rodney M. Huck, of Monsanto Chemical Co.

- Asbestos Mats and Woven Asbestos are discussed in the article, "Sheet Reinforcements for Laminates" by G.H. Mains and S. W. Place.
G.H. Mains is from National Vulcanized Fibre Co. 
S.W. Place is from Continental-Diamond Fibre Company.

- There is a 4 page advertisement for Westinghouse Micarta in this book.  The table shown below lists Micarta grade numbers 239 and 200 as having Asbestos as the base material.   Applications for these grades include transformer coil spacers, armature slot wedges, furnaces, rail insulation, armature wedges in railway and mill motors, insulation.

-  4 page ad for the National Vulcanized Fibre Co that lists the applications that asbestos base grades are used for.

- There is a company directory that lists companies that sell fillers. Companies that sell mineral fillers which includes asbestos are designated with the letter K.
