- Article entitled "Melamine Formaldehyde" by Winslow A Ward, from American Cyanamid Co, includes a table which lists asbestos as a filler and its uses include aircraft ignition, condensers.
- Article entitled "Cold-Molded Organic Plastics" includes several references to asbestos use. It says, "Asbestos is a common filler for all types and the high heat resistance characteristic of these materials is due to the high percentage of asbestos in the formula." Also this article mentions that phenolic resin is mixed with asbestos fiber.
- Advertisement for the American Cyanamid Company states that Melmac 405 Laminating Resin contains asbestos.
