Chapter on Water Closets (Toilets): "The upper edge of the lead pipe and the inner part of the flange are covered with a one-piece gasket made of lead or asbestos."

Chapter on Building Drains and Sewers, section on Joints in Clay Pipe:  Use of a joint runner of asbestos or rubber is described.

Chapter on Hot Water Supply (hot water heaters) - mentions asbestos as one of the materials that can be used for pipe insulation.
